School Policies

  

ATTENDANCE

Guidance Center classes begin at 8:00 a.m.

Students are required to complete the assigned number of days as requested by their home school campus.

Missed days will be made up.
 

 

TARDY PROCEDURES 

First Tardy - Student will receive verbal warning and a tardy slip.  Student will go straight to class.  Parent(s) will be notified about the tardy and told that the next tardy will result in an after school detention (3:00 – 3:15). 

Second Tardy – Student will receive a Discipline Referral and a tardy slip.  Student will go directly to class.  Parent(s) will be contacted about the tardy # 2 and notified that the student will attend detention that afternoon (3:00 – 3:15) as well as any other day the student is tardy to GC the remainder of the school year.

Any Additional TardiesStudent will receive a Discipline Referral and a tardy slip.  Student will go directly to class.  Parent(s) will be contacted about tardy and notified that the student will attend detention that afternoon (3:00 – 3:15) as well as any other day the student is tardy to GC the remainder of the school year. 

Additional consequences for habitual tardies will be determined by the administrators as needed.

RESTROOM PROCEDURES 


Students will be given the opportunity to go to the restroom once in each period.

Students will leave all items and jackets in the classroom.

Students remain quiet in the hallway and keep the bathroom clean.


LUNCH


Students who want lunch must order it in the cafeteria line. Students may bring their own lunch, but any drinks must be sealed/unopened before entering the building.

Lunch is served at approximately 12:15 each day.


CELL PHONES


All cell phones are collected when students enter the building and returned at the end of the day.

 

DRESS CODE

Students are expected to comply with the dress code regulations found in the student handbook. The district dress code will be enforced.
